Lotus Unveils The Avidya, A Futuristic Concept Car

The 2023 Lotus Evija is a limited electric sports car manufactured by British car manufacturer Lotus Cars.[1] The Evija is the first all-electric vehicle from Lotus, and is also the most powerful production car ever built, with a 2,000 horsepower output and 1,700 newton metres (1,254 lbf⋅ft) of torque.[2]

The Evija is the first all-electric model in the history of Lotus Cars. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2021.

The Evija will be powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel, producing a combined maximum of 1,973 hp (1,470 kW; 2,000 PS), giving it a top speed of over 200 mph (320 km/h). Production is limited to 130 units with a starting price of £1.7M before taxes.

Lotus has committed to building only 130 Evijas in order to ensure exclusivity and desirability of the car.

The Evija's design was led by Russell Carr and incorporates styling elements inspired by jet engines and F1 cars. The rear light bar spans the width of the car and incorporates Lotus' logo in LED lighting and the roof panel is removable.
